It’s approaching the end of the year. I don’t know how other people are feeling at the moment but there have been times in the last few weeks where I have felt weary and I was just waiting for the weekend to recharge. 

October month is usually one of our church’s busiest months, with student coming back to university and our anniversary celebration etc, there were many events, meetings, and fellowships. Hectic as it was, I want to grab as much opportunities as possible.

On 15th of October 2023, our church celebrated our 11th year anniversary. The theme was ‘Transforming Lives Everywhere’ which is the heart of Hope International Ministries’ Vision 2030. From the teaching, we learned how Jesus transforms our faith, our purpose and our lives.

It’s easy to praise God when you feel blessed and happy as everything goes the way you expected. But do you blame God when nothing is working out and you just feel dejected and helpless?

If God enters your room right now. How would you react? Sometimes, our first encounter with God take us by surprise and our response can change the whole course of our lives.

Looking back to when I first came to the UK a few years back, I was young, afraid and uncertain of how my life would turn out. So I thought perhaps, “let’s just get through university and see how it goes.”
